Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Finance Analyst to join our team in Solihull, Birmingham. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in providing commercial reporting and insight to support business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial reporting and analysis to support business activities, including volumes, revenue, and prices.
  • Lead on the end-to-end management of customer rebates, including system setup, accounting, and payment.
  • Support the production of month-end reporting packs and other standardized reports, providing commentary and analysis on commercial performance.
  • Support the finance manager with commercial forecasting and outputs, working closely with commercial managers and sales and operational planning teams.
  • Lead on customer profitability reviews and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the commercial team with pricing schedules and major pricing updates.
  • Analyze trends and performance using data querying tools to feed into forecasts and long-term financial planning.
  • Build good working relationships with senior commercial managers and key account managers.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant or finalist ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Experience as a Finance Analyst or in a financial management role.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to learn and map end-to-end financial and system processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Experience with data query and management tools, such as Business Warehouse, Access, SQL, and Business Objects.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience with managing customer rebates.
  • Previous experience within the building products industry.
  • Experience working in a challenging matrix environment or large business plc.
  • Experience with SAP or Business Warehouse.
