Senior Electrical Technician Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Technician to join our team at Be Personnel Ltd, a family-led business with a rich history dating back to the late 1880s. As one of the UK's leading Sawmilling companies, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and safety.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing site machinery, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and collaborating with production staff to minimize downtime. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the continued success of our business.
Main Objectives
- Maintenance and repair of site machinery in accordance with legal obligations and safe working practices.
- Effective communication with production staff to ensure timely and efficient maintenance and repairs.
- Regular feedback on work progress, including identifying areas for improvement and new approaches in line with LEAN principles.
- Collaboration with shift supervisors to determine workload and prioritize tasks.
- Improvement of Predictive Maintenance (PPMs) effectiveness and completion in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations.
- Evaluation and reporting on key performance indicators, including reducing downtime and achieving zero Health & Safety issues.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant industry experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with LEAN principles and methodologies.
