Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing echocardiography procedures, triaging patients, and participating in service management.

Main Duties

The Cardiac Physiologist will be expected to:

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) on outpatients and inpatients
  • Triage patients effectively and support the development of GP pathways
  • Participate in aspects of service management, including quality assurance, service planning, workforce planning, appraisal, and student supervision
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent formal specialist training
  • BSE TTE adult accreditation (holds or has previously held with CPD)
  • Appropriate post-qualification experience and familiarity with the range of basic and advanced Cardiac and Respiratory investigations
