Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to work with Birmingham Secondary Schools. As a Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and sportsmanship among our students while fostering a love for sports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Coaching: Deliver engaging and inclusive sports lessons to secondary school students, covering a range of sports and activities.
  • Skill Development: Identify and nurture talent while helping students improve their sports skills, techniques, and physical fitness.
  • Team Building: Organize and lead sports teams, helping students develop teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Physical Education: Assist in the planning and delivery of the physical education curriculum, ensuring that all students receive a well-rounded education in sports and fitness.
  • Health and Well-being: Promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness, inspiring students to maintain an active and balanced life.
  • Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during sports activities, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Communication: Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff to support the development of a thriving sports program.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications
  • Strong knowledge of various sports and coaching techniques.
  • Experience working with secondary school students.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for sports and physical fitness.
  • Commitment to promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and well-being.
