Ophthalmic Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse/Optometrist or Ophthalmologist Injector to join our Ophthalmic team as a Clinical Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide ongoing professional and clinical leadership to the team and deliver evidence-based care as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all relevant forms of care and procedures for which they are competent to practice without direct supervision. They will work closely with the Ophthalmic Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide knowledge and skills to the rest of the team and participate in associated management activities.
The post holder will act as a leader in the ophthalmic outpatient's team and be professionally accountable for the standard of care in that department. They will be actively involved in the nurse-led team providing intravitreal injections to patients and provide ophthalmic advice, clinical education, and nursing development within the department.
We are looking for a candidate with good organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with integrated care partners as a member of a team. Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Injector is essential.
