**Job Description**

Sellick Partnership is assisting a Local Authority with the recruitment of a Senior Building Control Surveyor to work within their Building Services and Maintenance team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in building regulations and surveying, with experience working in social housing. They will lead the development team approach for major projects, participating in corporate and partnership groups to achieve performance outcomes on time and within budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and lead the development team approach for major projects
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of building regulations, structural engineering, fire engineering, or other relevant specialisms
  • Ensure that Building Control revenues are maximised by maintaining our market share
  • Explore, devise, and present technical justification for specific project proposals

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Building Surveying/Construction or equivalent
  • Registered Class 2 Building Inspector (minimum)
  • Previous experience working within Social Housing (desired)
