We are seeking a seasoned Bar Operations Manager to join our esteemed team at SCHLOSS Roxburghe. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and charismatic individual to lead our main bar, The State Room Lounge, in delivering an unparalleled guest experience.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of The State Room Lounge, ensuring seamless service delivery and high standards are consistently met.
  • A key focus will be on staff management, development, and empowerment to ensure the team exceeds expectations in providing luxury experiences for our guests.
  • Collaborating closely with the Food and Beverage Operations Manager, you will drive initiatives to enhance quality standards, presentation, and atmosphere within the lounge.
  • As part of your remit, you will identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, manage guest recovery situations promptly, and oversee cash handling procedures.
  • You will also contribute to the recruitment and onboarding process for the team, ensuring a smooth transition for new members.
  • By overseeing scheduling, time-keeping, and attendance, you will maintain a motivated and productive team environment.
  • Your responsibilities will also include supporting with training and implementation of HACCP, COSHH, and fire procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

About You:

  • We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of management experience within a quality bar environment, preferably within a luxury hotel setting.
  • With a strong spirit and mixology knowledge, you will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and excel in creating personalized experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for building trusting relationships with colleagues and guests alike.
  • A positive personality, enthusiasm, and resilience will enable you to adapt to changing work schedules and demands of the business.
  • Confidence in handling guest complaints, coupled with initiative-taking and practical problem-solving skills, will be invaluable in this role.
