We are assisting a leading social housing provider to recruit an experienced Maintenance Delivery Director to oversee the delivery of planned maintenance services across West London.

The ideal candidate will have significant commercial acumen and experience of managing budgets of £10-15m, as well as operational insight and the ability to evidence innovation.

This is a three-month contract role with the possibility of extension. Our client welcomes candidates who are looking to work on a fixed-term contract or those who prefer day rates.

The post holder will lead a team responsible for delivering services to over 10,000 tenants in London, providing a customer-focused planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and component replacement programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing a team to deliver PPM and component replacements
  • Supporting and challenging teams to consistently deliver a customer-centric service
  • Assisting and deputising for the Head of Services as required
  • Overseeing and monitoring the use of materials
  • Managing and monitoring subcontractors' performance
  • Building strong and effective relationships with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, contractors, colleagues, residents, and others
  • Working to continuously improve productivity and service delivery
  • Ensuring up-to-date knowledge of relevant compliance and mandatory training

Requirements:

  • Experience creating and developing relationships with stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety Regulations
  • Working knowledge of Asbestos policy & procedures
  • Skilled application of risk assessments/method statements
  • Relevant experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams across multiple workstreams
  • Relevant experience working in social housing repairs or a similar industry sector
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • A full UK driving licence and ability to drive
  • HND/ Degree or equivalent qualifications/experience in a construction-related subject

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
