Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Durrington Multi Academy Trust as a Senior Finance Academy Officer. The role involves developing and managing school budgets, monitoring and reporting on budgetary performance, and ensuring financial health and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and manage school budgets in line with the MAT's financial policies, working closely with the Finance Director and the Trust central team.
  2. Monitor and report on budgetary performance, ensuring financial health and sustainability, supporting headteachers/leaders to achieve their aims within budget.
  3. Identify potential sources of additional income or funding opportunities, providing financial guidance to staff and ensuring compliance with employment law, safeguarding, and GDPR regulations.
  4. Work closely with the Director of Finance, Director of Operations, and CEO to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including data protection and statutory returns.
  5. Communicate effectively with stakeholders on matters related to academy trust finances and operations, providing training and support to staff involved in financial management.
