About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lending Underwriter to join our team. As a Commercial Lending Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting commercial loans, assessing creditworthiness, and making informed decisions to ensure the success of our commercial lending operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite commercial loans, including assessing creditworthiness and making informed decisions
  • Collaborate with lending managers to ensure that lending decisions are made in accordance with our risk appetite and strategy
  • Provide robust guidance and challenge to ensure that we are identifying any concerns and protecting our position
  • Work closely with our portfolio management team on account reviews to ensure that we are identifying any concerns and protecting our position
About You

You will have direct experience of underwriting corporate buy-to-let and / or commercial investment transactions and must have been previously held a personal underwriter mandate (for either BTL or Commercial Property Investment lending). You will have a flair for detail and have experience is underwriting complex cases, with the ability to cut through the complexity and make sound decisions.
