About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Venue Strategist to lead our team in defining and delivering successful sales strategies for Magazine London, one of the largest purpose-built hybrid spaces in London.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating and executing business strategies for complex venues, with experience of managing teams across multiple locations. They will be responsible for ensuring all sales targets are achieved, working closely with the Director of Broadwick Spaces and the Head of Sales and Events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales: Define and deliver successful sales strategies, including competitor analysis, identifying new events and opportunities, data segmentation, business development, relationship management, and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure all sales targets are achieved, with KPIs constantly monitored based on metrics adopted across the business.
  • Lead the highest standards of sales operations across all spaces.
  • Work with Spaces & Stories to define and drive proactive sales strategies and tactics that support long and short-term sales performance of the venue.
  • Marketing: Work with the central Marketing team and other space leaders to define data-driven marketing strategies across all spaces.
  • Deliver marketing strategies and targets, ensuring KPIs are constantly monitored based on metrics adopted across the business.
  • Ensure the highest standard of marketing operations across all spaces.
  • Act as brand guardian, growing the brands as agreed with the brand team.
  • Finance: Ensure compliance with Broadwick group policies, procedures, and metrics across the division.
  • Own the spaces' P&Ls in terms of costs (including Business Rates) forecasting and reconciliation, reporting these figures to senior leadership.
  • Work with the accounts team to reconcile the spaces' P&Ls month-to-month.
  • Provide reports to senior leadership when required.
  • Oversee debt management.

The salary for this role is estimated to be £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, with additional benefits including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave.
