About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Academic Support Specialist to join our team as a Student Success Tutor. This role is critical in supporting students to achieve their academic goals and succeed in their studies. The successful candidate will work closely with students, academic staff, and other support teams to provide guidance, advice, and resources to ensure students receive the best possible support.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students to help them overcome academic challenges and achieve their goals.
- Develop and deliver workshops and training sessions to enhance students' skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with academic staff to identify areas of concern and develop strategies to support students.
- Collaborate with other support teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and academic staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree from a recognised university and a minimum of 1 year's experience in teaching or academic support.
- An understanding of current practices and developments in education.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A customer-focused approach and a strong commitment to student success.
