Electrical Shift Technician Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Technician to join our team in London. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for implementing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, small projects, and help desk calls, in accordance with both client and JLL requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and reactive repairs of Electrical, Fire life safety, and Mechanical building services and associated equipment.
  • Liaise with admin staff to ensure timely closures and completions for PPM and reactive tasks.
  • Report all engineering activity and incidents to the Shift Leader.
  • Ensure all PPM activity is completed within set SLA schedules, adhering to engineering standards and in-country regulations.
  • Adhere to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements and account-specific standards of excellence.
  • Ensure onsite quality assurance procedures are followed, and maintain accurate records/documentation associated with work activity.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
  • Coordinate visiting specialist sub-contractors and review engineering reports and recommendations with the Shift Leader.
  • Liaise with building users and respond positively to any requests or instructions.

Requirements

  • Electrical or Mechanical Apprenticeship.
  • Working knowledge of business-critical assets, including UPS, Emergency power Generation, Air conditioning systems, and Fire life safety.
  • HSE accredited/recognised training course(s).
  • Experience in Electrical/Mechanical aspects of commercial building assets and systems.
  • Experience with understanding cause and effect regarding building BMS controls.
  • Proven track record of excellence in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
