Quantity Surveyor Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conducting cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans
  2. Procuring and negotiating with subcontractors
  3. Monitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures
  4. Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management
  5. Collaborating with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions
  6. Preparing and submitting monthly reports on project financial performance
  7. Conducting cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements
Requirements:
  1. Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  2. Strong understanding of construction contracts and regulations
  3. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  4. Proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
  5. Experience of commercial builds and taking responsibility for projects up to the value of £5m
