Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a Specialty Doctor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support to our multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs.
Job Responsibilities- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide care to children and young people with mental health needs.
- Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical matters.
- Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards.
- Be responsible for patients allocated to you and assess, manage, plan, and deliver care.
- Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member.
- Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
- At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.

We are currently recruiting to a CAMHS Specialty Doctor position in the Havering CAMHS Community Team, based at Acorn Centre, 306 London Road, Romford, RM7 9NH. You will join two CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists, another Specialty Doctors, 1wte Senior Trainee, and 1wte Core Trainee within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.
