Community Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs across Havering.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide care to children and young people with mental health needs.
- Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical matters.
- Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards.
- Be responsible for patients allocated to you and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care.
- Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member while working on your own initiative.
- Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
Person Specification
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
- At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
