Main Duties and Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality primary care to patients through telephone, video, and face-to-face consultations.
- Effectively manage patients' long-term conditions and provide comprehensive care.
- Process administrative tasks, including referrals, prescription requests, and other associated duties.
- Work collaboratively with the team to share the practice workload and contribute to continuous improvements.
- Attend and contribute to clinical meetings and other practice meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Support the partners in achieving strategic aims, including enhancing income and reducing expenditure.

Key Clinical Responsibilities- Practice in accordance with accepted good medical practice and the various clinical policies of Selden Medical Centre.
- Work to an agreed timetable and make yourself available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations and visiting patients at home.
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems.
- Assess the health needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, screen patients for disease risk factors, and early signs of illness.
- Contribute to QOF requirements and record data appropriately to achieve other practice quality markers.
- Develop care plans for health-related illnesses in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
- Record clear consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Collect data for audit purposes and contribute to the Practice audit programme.
- Prescribe in accordance with the accepted prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
- Take responsibility for some aspects of the clinical work within the team, including coordinating aspects of governance, QOF, enhanced services, CPD, and keeping clinical protocols up to date.
- Support any complaints policy and procedure to ensure proper investigation and follow-up action in the event of a complaint.
