Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Railway Team Leader to join our team at Kelly Rail. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of site staff and ensuring that all works are carried out in a safe and controlled manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead a team of site staff and ensure that they are aware of and compliant with all Kelly Rail safety policies, procedures, and values.
    • Manage and coordinate the work of the team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Site Operations
    • Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with Kelly Rail procedures and standards.
    • Conduct site audits to assess material requirements for future planned works.
    • Ensure that all site staff have the necessary personal protective equipment for the activity being carried out.
  • HSQE
    • Ensure that all staff are aware of and compliant with all Kelly Rail safety policies, procedures, and values.
    • Report close calls/near misses in a timely manner, in line with company policies and procedures.
    • Implement the 'Work Safe' procedure in unsafe situations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 18 months' experience in a Team Leader role.
  • IRSE Team Leader license.
  • COSS / SPC.
  • PTS/DCCR and/or LUCAS.
  • BTA (LU).
Competencies
  • Basic Signalling Principles.
  • Basic Signalling 1.
  • Basic Signalling 2.
  • RRI (Desirable).
  • SSI (Desirable).
  • Basic Fault Finding.
  • NWR Communications.
  • Working knowledge of signalling equipment such as Track Circuits, Axle Counters, Point mechanisms, Level crossings.
