Reed is partnering with Tameside Council to recruit a Family Wellbeing Advocate to join their Fostering Team.

Estimated salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.

In this critical role, you will work with foster carers, children, and families to promote positive relationships and outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include recruiting and assessing foster carers, providing guidance and support, and participating in Placement Planning Meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Family Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of foster carers and their families to determine their suitability for fostering.
  2. Foster Carer Support: Provide regular support and guidance to foster carers, ensuring they meet the required standards and can provide a stable and loving home for children in care.
  3. Placement Planning: Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to develop personalized care plans for each child.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: A degree in Social Work or a related field, registered with Social Work England.
  2. Experience: Proven experience working with vulnerable children and families, with a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
