At Latitude Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our client's team in Waterlooville on an ongoing contract with a view to going permanent. The successful candidate will have hand tool experience and a background in mechanics or working with fabrics.

The role involves using work instructions to cut and sew fabric panels together while maintaining high accuracy and quality standards. This is a challenging position that requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

  1. Reading engineering drawings to understand product specifications.
  2. Ensuring products meet customer requirements by following work instructions.
  3. Operating industrial sewing machines, including twin needle, single zig zag stitch, and overlocking machines.
  4. Working with a variety of hand tools to complete tasks efficiently.
  5. Taking on additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.
Estimated salary for this position is approximately £24,000-£28,000 per annum.
