Job Title: Learning Support Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Care Assistant to join our team at The Orpheus Centre, a specialist college in Godstone, Surrey. As a Learning Support Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young adults with learning and physical disabilities to achieve their personal goals and develop independence skills.

About the Role

This is a permanent, part-time position working 35 hours per week over 44 weeks of the year. You will be part of a dynamic team that provides a supportive and inclusive environment for our students. As a Learning Support Care Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care and support to students with complex needs
  • Assisting students with their daily living skills, such as personal hygiene and intimate care
  • Supporting students with their education and training programs
  • Encouraging and motivating students to lead their care and learning support needs
  • Acting as a key worker and role model for students
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of two years' experience of working with young people or adults with learning and physical disabilities
  • A Level 2/3 Learning Support Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • A Level 2/3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
