Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist built school near Godstone. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting children with Learning Difficulties, including Autism, and Speech, Language & Communication needs.

Job Summary:

The Teaching Assistant role is an excellent opportunity to gain relevant experience and expand your knowledge and skillset. You will work closely with other teams of professionals, providing essential support to children aged 4-17 with mild to moderate learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
  • Behaviour and pastoral support
  • Ability to build robust and effective relationships with students
  • Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
  • Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  • Ensure safeguarding of students
  • Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
Requirements:
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check (where applicable)
What We Offer:
  • Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD
  • Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:00pm PAYE, term time only
  • £80-£85 per day

Please note that candidates registering with Academics Ltd will need to have or apply for an Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check where appropriate.
