About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthetic & Scrub Theatre Practitioner to join our Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery team at Castle Hill Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our theatres.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work closely with the Charge ODP and multi-disciplinary team members to maintain excellent clinical standards and staff development.
  2. As a competent anaesthetic practitioner and/or scrub practitioner, follow all checks and procedures as laid down in National/ Theatre Policy.
  3. Take charge of the operating theatre department in the absence of a Band 7.
  4. Carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and demonstrate procedures, supervise qualified and/or unqualified staff while maintaining a safe working environment.
  5. Be flexible in your approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area specified as appropriate to your knowledge and training.
