This is a permanent onsite role that requires a dynamic project manager with a background in engineering and fabrication, ready to lead complex steelwork projects from concept to installation.

The Company:

Certain Advantage specialises in manufacturing and installing a wide range of CE Marked steelwork structures, from light duty supports to heavy duty mezzanines and high-capacity platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple steelwork fabrication projects, ensuring high quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, and installation.
  • Lead a team of expert welders, fabricators, and fitters to deliver a variety of structures such as platforms, staircases, mezzanine floors, and safety barriers.
  • Collaborate with the design team to provide accurate quotations and drawings to clients.
  • Maintain client relationships by managing on-site installations and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize the project planning database to track jobs, control costs, and manage budgets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with both new and existing clients.

The Individual:

  • Strong experience in engineering and fabrication, ideally in manufacturing and distribution environments.
  • Expertise in managing complex steelwork projects and teams, with a focus on structural steel, mezzanines, and platforms.
  • Excellent client-facing skills to discuss project requirements, negotiate contracts, and manage expectations.
  • Ability to implement ISO (UKCA) standards within steelwork projects.
  • Previous experience in training and developing teams.
  • Leadership and team motivation.
  • Strong negotiation and client management skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, risk management, and cost control.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
