Job Title: Plant Enthusiast

We are seeking a skilled Plant Enthusiast to join our team at Salop Leisure Ltd.

$25,000 - $35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Salop Leisure Ltd. is a traditional plant centre based in Shropshire, offering an extensive range of hardy plants backed up by horticultural knowledge and customer service.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be required to advise and guide customers on plant choice and care, create seasonal displays, and maintain a well-presented plant area.

  • Meet and greet customers, providing expert advice on plant selection and care.
  • Create visually appealing seasonal displays that showcase our products.
  • Maintain the plant area to ensure it is always presented in an attractive and inviting manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Horticultural qualification or equivalent experience within the industry (1 year minimum).
  • Excellent plant and horticultural knowledge.
  • Possess a passion for plants and gardening.
  • Awareness of gardening seasons and the ability to adapt displays accordingly.
  • Good communication and sales skills, with a focus on delivering high standards of customer service.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and creativity when designing displays.
  • A team player with basic IT skills and a valid driving license (desirable).
