Executive Chef

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Amesbury Bulford Barracks. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the food and beverage production, ensuring high-quality service to our clients, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Culinary Operation: Provide strategic direction and support to the production team to ensure seamless execution of culinary services.
- Direct Kitchen Staff: Supervise and direct the preparation and duties of sous chefs, commis chefs, chef de parties, and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Staff Management: Arrange on and off duties for all staff, ensuring a great work-life balance and promoting a positive team culture.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure strict adherence to all EHO guidelines and systems, monitor sanitation practices, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
- Menu Planning: Function menu planning, including the development of new menus and the implementation of seasonal changes.
- Inventory Management: Manage stock levels, oversee meal presentation, and liaise with the client for requests and feedback.
- Service Excellence: Work with the FOH management team to drive service excellence, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable.
- Training and Development: Ensure that all team members are fully trained and refreshed regularly to meet client and company standards.
- Culinary Expertise: NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in IT, technical communication, and Microsoft packages.
- Leadership Skills: Impeccable leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Attention to Detail: Thorough and meticulous in all aspects of work, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Performance Monitoring: Ability to monitor own performance and that of team members, with a focus on continuous improvement.
