Sales Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our sales team at a leading food business in the West Midlands. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key retail customers, driving category growth and ensuring alignment with sales forecasts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Communicate sales forecast changes to buying teams and analyze orders to ensure alignment with expectations.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customers' Profit and Loss accounts and costs.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, including Buying, Technical, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and NPD.
- Drive category relationships across core retail customers and serve as the main interface between retail customers and internal teams.
- Issue commercial sales reports and provide insights to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Strong analytical and IT skills, with the ability to present to all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated individual with a passion for food and the wider food industry and supply chain.
- Must be based in the West Midlands, with site-based work and occasional travel to see customers.
- Competitive salary of £33-£35k DOE.
