Senior Care Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Watford House Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in leading our care team and ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the care team to ensure the smooth running of the home and create a positive atmosphere.
- Assist residents with daily living tasks, prioritizing their dignity and independence.
- Oversee medication management, including ordering, administration, and documentation.
- Engage with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure clear and compassionate communication.
- Foster a team ethos, promoting a supportive environment for all staff.
- Welcome visitors and show prospective residents and families around the home's facilities.
- Respond promptly to emergency call bells and provide or call for assistance as needed.
- Write and update care plans, risk assessments, and case notes to reflect residents' needs and wishes.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and e-learning to develop your skills and knowledge.
- SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential.
- Practical Medication Administration with competencies is required.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, delegating tasks effectively.
- Compassionate nature with a sense of fun and a commitment to person-centred care.
