Senior Care Team Leader

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Watford House Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in leading our care team and ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and coordinate the care team to ensure the smooth running of the home and create a warm and supportive environment for residents.
- Assist residents with daily living tasks, such as dressing, bathing, and toileting, while prioritizing their dignity and independence.
- Oversee the ordering, administration, and documentation of medication, maintaining accurate records.
- Engage with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure clear and compassionate communication.
- Foster a team ethos, respecting diversity and promoting a supportive environment for all staff.
- Welcome visitors and show prospective residents and families around the home's facilities.
- Respond promptly to emergency call bells and provide or call for assistance as needed.
- Write and update care plans, risk assessments, and case notes, ensuring they reflect residents' needs and wishes.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and e-learning, taking responsibility for your own growth and development.
- Be aware of and adhere to Health and Safety policies, including COSHH, and escalate concerns to management.
- SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential. We also welcome applications from experienced Care Assistants actively working towards their Level 3.
- Practical Medication Administration with competencies is required.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, delegating tasks effectively while maintaining a supportive environment.
- A kind, caring, and compassionate personality with a sense of fun and a commitment to person-centred care.
