Structural Engineering Expert

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team at UKAEA. This is an excellent opportunity to work on exciting fusion energy projects, utilizing your expertise in design and analysis.
Salary: The estimated salary for this role is £32,729 per annum, plus excellent benefits including an outstanding pension scheme.
Job Description:
- Site Inspections: Conduct inspection activities for existing facilities under supervision from a senior engineer.
- Design Data Management: Search databases to identify relevant drawings, documents, and 'as-built' records.
- Structural Analysis: Use computational design tools to analyze standard structures of moderate size and complexity.
- Structural Design: Develop design concepts and detail to meet stakeholder requirements under supervision of senior engineers.
- Design Qualification: Contribute to design substantiation reports with calculations and analysis conforming to design codes and quality specifications.
- Management of Design: Manage small design work packages for self and work with assigned CAD designers or technicians.
- Expertise: Become familiar with routine design and analyses required for infrastructure design in Fusion Engineering Systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Recognized degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
