Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Process Design Engineer to join our team in Ellesmere Port. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for hazardous areas, ensuring compliance with ATEX regulations.

  2. Collaborate with project managers to provide technical support and ensure successful project delivery
  3. Undertake design reviews and attend design review meetings to ensure high-quality designs
  4. Provide in-house manufacturing support based on produced designs
  5. Specify project materials and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Main Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Process Design Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Designing and developing mechanical systems for hazardous areas, ensuring compliance with ATEX regulations
  2. Collaborating with project managers to provide technical support and ensure successful project delivery
  3. Undertaking design reviews and attending design review meetings to ensure high-quality designs
  4. Providing in-house manufacturing support based on produced designs
  5. Specifying project materials and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. At least 2-3 years' experience in a Process Design role
  2. Knowledge of ATEX and mechanical design of systems for hazardous areas
  3. Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  4. Knowledge and experience of the design life cycles of a project
  5. Awareness of the regulations and standards applicable to Mechanical/Process systems
  6. Experience of working within the process, oil & gas, and petrochemical industry
