Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support Health and Safety, Environmental Management System, Quality Management System, and Construction Design Management in a positive and constructive manner.
  2. Prepare and implement design, planning, and programme highway structures works and services.
  3. Offer advice and expertise in the delivery of work based on engineering knowledge and experience.
  4. Understand the overall functions, aims, and directions of Essex Highways and how the structures service fits into those objectives.
  5. Provide clear and effective project leadership.
  6. Assist in the management and monitoring of works programmes or services.
  7. Mentor junior staff in the delivery of structural design and development of highway structures schemes.
  8. Assist in budgetary control and ensure that financial management is undertaken throughout areas of responsibility.
