About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead Advanced Nurse Specialist to join our Neuromodulation Service at Barts Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading the development and coordination of a high-quality Neuromodulation Service across the Trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of safe and efficient care of neuromodulation patients across various sites at Barts Health.
  • Work in conjunction with the Neuromodulation Consultants, Specialist Clinical Psychologist, Research Co-ordinators, and Lead Pain Clinical Nurse Specialist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based pain management.
  • Develop and coordinate a high-quality Neuromodulation Service across the Trust, utilising your specialist knowledge and skills in providing expert healthcare to patients referred to the Neuromodulation Service.
  • Liaise with neuromodulation company representatives to organise and run reprogramming clinics for patients and set up study days with stakeholders and other specialists in the field.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day coordination and operational delivery of the Neuromodulation Service at Barts Health.

Person Specification
  • Extensive experience in working in neuromodulation at band 7.
  • Experience of nurse-led and reprogramming clinics.
  • Experience of quality assurance projects.
  • Experience of audit and data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge/evidence of change management.
  • Evidence of service planning and development.
  • Clear understanding of the Band 7 clinical nurse specialist role.
  • Understanding of clinical governance structures.
  • Awareness of current NHS and professional issues.
  • Awareness of relevant professional guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Relevant MSc in pain management (or in process).
  • Specialist training to Master's level or equivalent experience.
  • University accredited Neuromodulation course.
  • Independent Non-medical prescriber.
