Sexual Health Care Specialist

This exciting opportunity is for a motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Chester Lodge, Sunderland. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with complex needs, utilizing their advanced skills and knowledge to ensure excellent communication and service delivery.
Main Responsibilities:- The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, assessing patient care needs, developing and implementing comprehensive care plans, and evaluating program effectiveness.
- They will also provide education on contraception and safer sex, while managing sensitive situations and identifying safeguarding issues.
Key Requirements:
- A degree in nursing studies or relevant clinical degree is required.
- Mentorship certificate or equivalent experience is essential.
- Family Planning Certificate or equivalent is necessary.
- Advanced Diploma in Sexual Health or willingness to complete is preferred.
- Leadership and Management Course is highly desirable.
- Non-medical prescribing or willingness to complete is required.
- Counselling Certificate is essential.
Desirable Skills:
- Basic IT skills are essential.
- Understanding of contemporary nursing issues is preferred.
- Evidence of continuous professional development is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of how to facilitate learning is necessary.
- Knowledge of current professional and clinical governance issues is preferred.
Salary:£40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
