Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diagnostic Radiographer to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a Diagnostic Radiographer, you will be responsible for performing clinical MRI scans to produce diagnostic information, maintaining the highest standard of practical and theoretical knowledge, and ensuring the safety of patients and staff.

The successful candidate will have significant post-graduate experience in MRI and CT, excellent analytical, organisational, communication, and computer skills, and the ability to work flexibly across a range of areas and specialities.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a world-leading cancer centre, contribute to the expanding cross-sectional service, and develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical MRI scans to produce diagnostic information appropriately as required by current protocols.
  • Maintain the highest standard of practical and theoretical knowledge to ensure a standard of excellence in MRI techniques.
  • Ensure the safety of patients and staff by following COSHH and Health and Safety at Work Act guidelines.
  • Be aware of the potential bio-effects of MRI and operate the scanner within safe limits at all times.
  • Ensure that adequate protection is given to self, patients, and other staff as laid out in the Local Rules for protection of persons in MRI and the Ionising Radiation Regulations.

Requirements

  • Significant post-graduate experience in MRI and CT.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, communication, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across a range of areas and specialities.
