Job Overview

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess and clinically authorize referrals to radiology, ensuring compliance with national regulations and local protocols.
  • Work as an Operator and Practitioner, utilizing own scope of practice to justify imaging requests and provide comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Participate in the Image Optimization Group to improve imaging quality and explore dose optimization methods.
  • Manage workflow, responding to changes in demand for radiology services, and liaise with other clinical and non-clinical departments to provide effective service delivery.
  • Act as a source of advice on imaging series selection and deployment of radiographic resources.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Diagnostic Radiography (BSc or equivalent).
  • Current HCPC registration and PGCert or PGDip in Plain Film Reporting.
  • Leadership qualification desirable.
  • Adept in plain film, CT, cardiac, and interventional imaging, with ability to manage equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in delivering training and embedding new techniques or technology.
  • Proficiency in Soliton RIS, Sectra PACS, and CareFlow systems.

About the Role:

This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
