Job Title: Repairs Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Repairs Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of repairs and maintenance services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance operatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality repairs and maintenance services.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the correct balance between reactive and planned maintenance.
  • Be responsible for effective diagnosis, remedial action, and quality control of building defects, in line with tenancy agreements and statutory requirements.
  • Write specifications and tender work as appropriate.
  • Utilize reports and data to monitor the performance and productivity of the team and subcontractors.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that all colleagues work in a safe and healthy environment through the implementation of health and safety at work.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing a repairs function in social housing, contractor, or client-side.
  • Experience in managing large budgets, ensuring income and expenditure are in line with budget estimates.
  • Experience in managing a variety of repair and maintenance works, including reactive repairs.
  • Full UK clean driving license, and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Technically qualified with an HND, HNC, or comparable qualification in a relatable subject.
