Job Summary:

Qualiteach Ltd is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team in a specialist provision based in the Trafford area. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting secondary age pupils with autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist pupils with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene, and provide emotional support as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies to support pupils with autism.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate effectively with parents and carers.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary age pupils, particularly those with autism.
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and the ability to adapt to individual pupil needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the provision.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate and right to work in the UK.
