About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team at The Copse, a rehabilitation service for men and women requiring a medium-term placement focusing on active rehabilitation.

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to support the service in delivering structured activities and assisting in the planning for individual and group therapeutic interventions.

You will build one-to-one relationships with service users to encourage participation in activities and empower recovery, contributing to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities to measure progression and ensure effectiveness.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and have access to a variety of training and online courses to support your career development and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and other MDT staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans.
  • Support service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services.
  • Maintain adequate records, entering details in the service user healthcare records.
Requirements
  • GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2.
  • Experience in a similar environment and mental health.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
