Job Purpose

The role of the 3D Technical CAD Animator is to create high quality animations and visualizations using various company assets. This includes producing technical animations of offshore engineering activities and installation sequences.

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for producing high quality 2D/3D renders, storyboards, and other infographic visuals.

This position requires excellent technical skills and the ability to work within a multi-discipline design team across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or college qualification in computer animation or equivalent related industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce highly accurate technical animations of offshore engineering activities and installation sequences.
  • Produce high quality 2D/3D renders, storyboards, and other infographic visuals.
  • Prepare and produce high quality 3D models of engineering/offshore equipment and company assets from various source data.
  • Prepare 3D scenes and carry out interface and technical clash checking for design reviews.
  • Liaise with draughtsman, engineers, and surveyors to understand scopes of work and identify required deliverables.
  • Support and train other members of the team.

Requirements

  • A degree or college qualification in computer animation or equivalent related industry experience.
  • Good practical knowledge and experience of 3D animation using 3Ds Max.
  • Proficient in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Ability to work within a multi-discipline design team across multiple projects.
  • Ability to organise, priorities, and deliver work to deadlines set by management.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
