About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Level 2 Childcare Apprentice at The Nursery in Oxford.

Our Team:

As a member of our team, you will work alongside our experienced and passionate staff to provide high-quality care and a stimulating environment for children aged 2-5 years.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent communication skills and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Develop a genuine passion for working with young children and contribute to creating a nurturing and engaging environment.
  • Support key members of the team in maintaining high standards of childcare and ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
  • Assist with daily tasks, including housekeeping, setting up the day, and clearing away at the end of the day.
  • Support children with personal care and hygiene, and prepare for the next day.
  • Contribute to planning activities and updating children's records.
  • Participate in training opportunities to further your personal career development and position within the nursery.

Requirements:

  • Ability to gain a clear DBS
  • Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent

Working Hours:

  • The Nursery is open 7.30am-17:30pm, Monday to Friday all year round
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week and shift patterns will be discussed
