Job Title: Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 2

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship at The Nursery in Oxford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and a stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent communication skills and work collaboratively with the team to ensure the highest standards of childcare.
  • Develop a genuine passion for working with young children and contribute to creating a nurturing environment.
  • Work alongside our experienced team to provide high-quality care and support the children's development.
  • Ensure the expected high standards of childcare are upheld at all times and demonstrate commitment to safeguarding the children.
  • Support key members of the team and contribute to the smooth running of the nursery.
  • Assist with housekeeping, setting up the day, and clearing away at the end of the day.
  • Support with all aspects of personal care and hygiene.
  • Prepare for the next day and plan activities to promote the children's learning and development.
  • Grow into the role to become a key person and update and maintain the children's records.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to gain a clear DBS.
  • Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.

Qualities Required:

  • Good energy and a good team player, with a child-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Working Hours:

  • The Nursery is open 7.30am-17:30pm, Monday to Friday all year round.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week and shift patterns will be discussed.
