Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child diagnosed with SEMH in a mainstream Primary school central to Denton.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and managing a pupil with special educational needs, usually on a 1:1 basis. This will involve taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young person in your care and supporting the school team to provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for students to learn.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting a pupil with SEMH on a 1:1 basis
  • Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young person in your care
  • Supporting the school team to provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for students to learn
Requirements:
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Thorough understanding of supporting pupils with SEND
  • Ability to provide a CV with employment/education history included, with employment breaks explained
  • Legal right to work in the UK
