The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our Personal Safety Team at our Hemel Hempstead labs. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing a variety of products, including PPE, to ensure they meet required safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and evaluate PPE products to ensure they meet relevant standards and regulations.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including resolving day-to-day maintenance issues.
- Record detailed testing results and provide clear, concise reports to clients.
- Liaise with clients to advise on the outcome of product testing and provide solutions to any issues that arise.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a test engineer or mechanical discipline and/or a Mechanical Engineering qualification.
- Strong interpersonal skills to confidently liaise with clients and advise on the status of work.
- Knowledge of Lean culture and ISO standards such as ISO 17025 is beneficial.
- Resourceful and solution-oriented with a great attention to detail.
