Job Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all machined components meet the highest quality standards. This will involve inspecting parts, reviewing material certifications, and maintaining calibration systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with client and licensed standards.
  • Review and approve material certifications to guarantee quality and compliance.
  • Maintain and manage the calibration system for all measurement instruments and gauges.
  • Host and coordinate with 3rd party inspectors to ensure seamless inspection processes.
  • Ensure the correct implementation of quality plans and monitor daily QC inspection activities.
  • Uphold a high standard of professionalism, with customer care as a priority.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and ensure compliance with HSE legislation and company policy.
  • Contribute to the development of systems and improvement in working practices and processes.
Requirements:
  • Shift Availability: Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern, alternating between day and night shifts in 2-week blocks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; comfortable using the latest inspection and measuring tools.
  • Engineering Manufacturing: Experience in an engineering manufacturing environment.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Quality Management: Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and adherence to quality assurance procedures.
  • Customer Focus: Imbued with a strong sense of customer focus (internal/external).
Desired Qualifications:
  • Oilfield Expertise: Time-served oilfield engineer with knowledge of premium threading, specifically Vallourec/Tenaris.
  • Experience: Strong background in machining and inspection.
  • VAM Qualification: Possession of VAM qualification.
  • Technical Learning: Capable of keeping up with an evolving portfolio of products and services.
