Assistant Head Teacher: Mental Health and Well Being

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Principal to lead our Senior School's pastoral support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and strategies to enhance pupil well-being, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and strategies to enhance pupil well-being
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders to achieve school goals
- Lead and manage the Form Tutor Teams
- Collaborate across departments to integrate well-being into the curriculum
- Manage external mental health education relationships
- Provide leadership and appraisal for pastoral staff
- Support with safeguarding for Key Stages 3 and 4
- Liaise with external bodies
Requirements:
- Dynamic and experienced leader with strong management skills
- Ability to build rapport with pupils and maintain high levels of organisation and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Awareness of the role of well-being in raising standards
- Experience in leading school-wide well-being initiatives an advantage
