About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at The Pier House. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, bar, and hotel-style rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take charge of the restaurant and bar operations when the General Manager is away, motivating the team to deliver high standards of service and quality.
  • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring every first impression counts.
  • Monitor customer feedback and adapt the service to maintain high standards and improve where necessary.
  • Support the team during peak periods, ensuring a consistently high level of service.
  • Oversee the production of a quality food offering and recognize the importance of the Kitchen Team.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, recognizing when they need help and taking responsibility for their development.
  • Ensure all admin and cash management systems are running smoothly, taking responsibility when the General Manager is away.
  • Stay up-to-date with health and safety regulations and ensure the team is aware of their responsibilities.
  • Be an inspiring role model and a source of support and development for the team.
