Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our team at the Advanced Elastomer Systems (AES) plant in Newport, South Wales. As a Process Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring production lines operate efficiently and maintain the exceptional quality our customers expect.
Responsibilities- Operate extrusion equipment via control room and field-based control systems
- Respond to breakdowns, perform basic fault finding, and support maintenance and repairs
- Monitor plant performance and diagnose faults
- Maximize reliability through executing operator care rounds
- Work within a shift team to ensure delivery of individual and team responsibilities and objectives
- Conduct detailed shift handovers
- Operate a forklift truck (training will be provided)
- Issue work permits for operations and tanker offloading areas
- Completion of a recognized Mechanical apprenticeship
- Experience in fault finding using a systematic approach
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs
- Experience with SAP and Distributed Control Systems (DeltaV)
- FLT license and welding proficiency
