The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Land Specialist to join their team.

This role will involve identifying, negotiating, and securing land that is suitable for solar, wind, and energy storage projects. The successful candidate will have experience in land acquisition, negotiation, and development processes, including Heads of Terms, Option, and Lease agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Emphasize early-stage landowner engagement and project origination.
  • Identify and secure land for solar, wind, and energy storage projects.
  • Collaborate with landowners, land agents, and other key stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain a network of reliable contacts and introducers.
  • Work closely with legal advisors to manage development processes.
  • Negotiate and finalize wayleaves and other supporting land agreements.
  • Resolve issues related to complex land agreements and negotiations.
  • Contribute to the development of land strategies and business practices.
  • Coordinate communication and land-related requests across internal teams.
  • Engage, appoint, and assess the work of external consultants.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. surveying or land/estate management)
  • Demonstrate an extensive network of contacts across the UK in relation to land
  • Extensive experience negotiating Heads of Terms, Options and Lease agreements
  • Solid understanding of commercial activities in relation to property and land law
  • Familiarity with the requirement funders have in relation to land agreements
  • Experience in renewable energy and large infrastructure projects
  • An excellent standard of verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrable project management experience
