Project Development Lead AssociateMission:
This role is crucial for our land strategy across wind, solar, and storage projects in the prospecting phase. You will be responsible for negotiating and securing land rights for these projects while cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Main Accountabilities:
- Manage internal negotiations related to land acquisition for renewable energy projects.
- Represent the company professionally and build lasting relationships with landowners, local communities, and government agencies.
- Establish partnerships with external land service providers to support our project development efforts.
- Develop a deep understanding of farming, forestry economics, and relevant regulations impacting land use for renewable energy projects.
- Actively participate in consultations and meetings with stakeholder groups to ensure transparent and collaborative project development.
- Coordinate effectively with internal and external resources to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Provide expert support to project managers on all land-related matters throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement procedures and best practices related to land acquisition for solar, storage, and wind farm projects.
Required Profile:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as real estate, environmental science, law, or business administration.
- 3-5 years of experience in the development of solar, storage, and/or wind energy projects, with a focus on land acquisition and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience in successfully closing land transactions.
- Strong understanding of the agricultural, forestry, and commercial property sectors, including relevant regulations and market dynamics.
- Experience navigating the complexities of renewable energy project development processes, from initial site identification to permitting and construction.
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Broad knowledge of investment principles, project valuations, and funding mechanisms within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively convey complex information in a compelling manner.
- Fluent English language proficiency.
- Valid driver's license.
- Previous land surveying experience is a significant advantage.
